Water Baptism, Sunday, November 16

Water Baptism, Sunday, November 16

aaron 2014 - CopyWe are having water baptisms this Sunday!

When Jesus chose to be baptized in water, He stated that it was necessary to “fulfill all righteousness (Mt. 3:15).” This doesn’t mean water baptism saves us, but if we refuse to be baptized in water there is something incomplete in our walk with Christ.

Water baptism is an act that God requires of every believer.

You never read of an un-baptized Christian anywhere in the Bible.

A wedding ring is an outward sign that a person is married.
A military uniform is an outward sign that a person serves in a specific branch of the armed forces.
Similarly, water baptism is a symbol designed by God to identify a person as a disciple of Jesus Christ.

Ultimately, it all goes back to Jesus’ statement in John 14:15. “If you love me, keep my commandments.”

If you have any questions about this, please feel free to e-mail, text or call me. I would love for you to make this step of obedience this Sunday.
