The month of December can get so busy that we may not take time to enjoy our family and friends. At CIL, we want to provide opportunities for you to celebrate the season in a meaningful way, but not overschedule activities to keep you too busy. Here is a list of few things in December that will help you focus on Christ:
Advent Reading
We join the rest of the church universal in recognizing the season of Advent, to prepare spiritually for Christmas. You can pick up an Advent reading calendar at church, find today’s reading through CIL social media or click here.
The Kindness Advent
Also, Aubrey and Jennifer McGowan are great resources for beginning the tradition of The Kindness Advent with your family! Even if kindness and blessing has already been your intention in the past, I urge you to check out this site – the planning and organization will help you put rubber to the road this season! Christmas Blessing – Bring items through Christmas Eve service, then join us Christmas morning to distribute these needed gifts to the homeless in downtown Nashville.
Kid’s Christmas Musical – December 21 at 6:00 p.m.
After the kids perform, Santa Clause will join us for cookies, hot chocolate and pictures!
Christmas Eve Service – 4:00 p.m.
I want our Christmas Eve service to be part of you and your family’s Christmas tradition. Make plans now, and bring your family and friends with you. We are going to create a Christ-centered experience for our church family and our community.
