Special Instructions for this Easter Weekend
Today begins the most special weekend of our year!
On Friday (March 30) we will have our Good Friday service. Beth Allison and the worship team will be including a string quartet to add reverence and beauty to this service of reflection. Childcare will be provided through age four.
Easter Sunday we will have services at 9am & 10:45am. It will be exciting to put out extra chairs, and welcome so many visitors and friends to this worship experience.
Can you do a few things to prepare for Easter?
1. Come early.
Last year, we had a 40% increase over our average attendance. We will put out extra chairs, and will be ready to welcome these new friends. You can do your part in preparation by arriving earlier than usual into the sanctuary, which will really help our Welcome Team. Plus, don’t you want to be there for the opening song and the Call to Worship?
2.Invite.
A personal invitation is the number one way to get people into church. If your heart is open, you will identify someone in your life who needs a personal invitation to try out a CIL service. God is preparing an important encounter with a friend that will be facilitated through your invitation.
3. Pray.
Let’s believe God that many people will be impacted by the gospel message on Resurrection Sunday.
One more thing . . .
On Thursday (March 29) we will have a Contemplative Prayer for Maundy Thursday(7pm). Please enter on the highway side of the building (the Awana entrance), as the prayer time will be in The Study, not the Sanctuary. Kristin Knaub will be leading this, and no child care is provided.
