A non-denominational church in Hendersonville, TN // Sundays 9AM & 10:45AM //

aarons-pictureChristmas Eve is eight days away!  Don’t panic!  Instead of stress and hurry, make a decision right now to enjoy the next few days. Slow down a little bit. Have some meaningful conversations. Soak it all in.

Also, make plans to attend one of our Christmas Eve services. We will have services at 3:00 and 4:30pm.  Nursery will be provided through age two. The Christmas Eve service is part of our spiritual formation as His people. The Advent season has been building us towards this celebration. Please invite anyone not part of another congregation to this inspiring and faith-building experience.

This Sunday (December 18) is important, too.  Our Covenant Partners will have the chance to ratify Ched Heiss, Tommy Hollinden, Chip Johnson, and Roger Shea to the Leadership Board for 2017-18.

Also, there will be a Men’s “Drop-In” Fellowship in between services in the Living Room (from 10:10–10:40am). Ben Cordray and Ched Heiss will have coffee and donuts to share.  This is something new we are trying to connect our men more. All guys, plan to stop by and say hello and meet other men of our church.

I’ll be preaching week four of Advent, as we look to the theme Adore. I look forward to seeing you this Sunday!

Election day is over, but the election is not.  As much as we naively hoped that the morning of November 9 would put the madness of the contest behind us, people in our congregation are both rejoicing and mourning due to the outcome of the presidential election.  So, while we may be divided politically, what a great opportunity to be united as a church family around something that transcends earthly power.

Let’s gather this Sunday and enter into the Kingdom of God together. When we gather on Sundays to sing songs, teach children, shake hands, hear Scripture explained, and partake of communion, we enter into a different realm.  The Kingdom of God is among us. The Kingdom of God is the rule of God, and by grace He will continue to rule our hearts and congregation.

Please come Sunday.  Let’s heal together.  Let’s hope together.  We exist to Know His Love, Share His Love.  Let’s share His love to each other, so we can share it with the world.

I love being your pastor,

Aaron

I hope you guys are enjoying Fall Break in Sumner County.  A quick reminder that there is no Awana, ExitSeven youth or any other mid-week activities at CIL this week.

My family missed being in church last week, but I know Sunday’s service was outstanding. I am so grateful for the talent, heart, and leadership of Aubrey, Jen, Greg, Deborah and Chip. In addition, Deanna Powell staffed an incredible nursery on Sunday like she does every week.  What a team!

This Sunday, children’s ministry will be back in full operation, and I will be preaching in both services.  My message is titled, Choosing A Life of Joy.  As we look at one of my favorite passages in Philippians 4:4-8, I know God is going to speak to each person.  This is a great week to invite someone to CIL. Who do you know that would benefit from the CIL family and experience?  Reach out to that friend.

I love being your pastor!
