A non-denominational church in Hendersonville, TN // Sundays 9AM & 10:45AM //

Decebmer 21, 2017

Can you believe Christmas Eve is this Sunday?

I love our Christmas Eve service every year, but it is especially meaningful with it falling on Sunday this year.  Beth and the worship team have some incredible Christmas music prepared.  I will share a short devotional, and we will all take communion together.  What a blessed opportunity!

We will have three identical services at 9am, 10:45am and 1pm.  Christmas Eve is a great time to invite family and friends who are not connected to church.  Invite someone to this special service, and let’s see people give their lives to Jesus Christ.

I’ll see you this Sunday.

On Sunday December 31, 2017 our Covenant Partners will have the chance to ratify during both morning services the following individuals to the Leadership Board for 2018-19:

Jonathan Kidd
Dana King
The remaining board members finishing out their term in 2018 are Ched Heiss, Tommy Hollinden, Chip Johnson and Roger Shea.
We are truly blessed to have such great leadership at CIL and we are looking forward to another great year!

ADVENT, a word with Latin roots, means “coming.”   Advent designates a period before Christmas when Christians prepare for the celebration of Jesus’ birth.

This practice began in the church over sixteen hundred years ago! Sermons focused on the wonder of the Incarnation. By the Middle Ages four Sundays had become the standard length of the Advent season. Advent is considered the beginning of the church year.

This Sunday, we join churches around the world to begin the season of Advent.

Here are our Advent themes:

December 3               Hope
December 10             Love

December 17             Joy

December 24             Peace
These themes will prepare us for a Jesus-centered Christmas!

Let’s welcome the Lord Jesus fully into our lives and church.
